According to Nadia Khan, her husband Faisal Mumtaz is a retired officer and fighter pilot of the Pakistan Air Force, born in 1970 in Lahore.

Nadia Khan says Faisal has more than 4,000 hours of flying experience on Mirage, F7, Hawk Group, T37, Cessna, and other aircraft.
She said her husband, Faisal Mumtaz, has topped all major training courses in Pakistan and the UAE. He retired from the Pakistan Air Force in 2009 as a Wing Commander after 18 years of service. He joined the UAE Air Force first as an Instructor Pilot and then as Chief of Safety.
Adia Khan said that Faisal is not new to the media as he has appeared in the past as a soldier in Najam Shirazi’s song Hawa Ka Sapahi composed for ISPR while he is a famous electronic media journalist and former PTV. Director News and Current Affairs is the son of the late Mumtaz Hamid Rao.
Mumtaz Hamid Rao was one of the founders of Pakistan Television and one of the first journalists to set up PTV News. He died in Rawalpindi in 2011. According to Nadia Khan, Faisal is the eldest of four siblings, his younger brother Ali works as a senior adviser in the British Civil Service, and lives in Manchester with his wife Dr. Asma and daughter Bella.
